Self Feeding

I reckon it is time I should let AC start self feeding. So to encourage them to do so, I bought new utensil with attractive cartoon characters to entice them. It works! AC were fascinated by their new feeding bowls. A said "Car car" to me in an obviously excited voice and C was bubbling happily as she looks at her Strawberry Shortcake bowl.

Gymboree Again

A&C have gotten used to the class routine and are now participating actively during the class. They truly enjoyed themselves during throughout the 45 mins session.

X'mas with daddy

Daddy brought us to watch the "Magical Musical X'mas Tree Show" @ Jurong Point. At 8pm, the tree starts it's musical song and there were our favorite bubbles and 'snow' too! And Mummy say it's Precious Tots like the 2 of us.

Let's swap our pacifier!

A&C played this game tonight. Both lying on our bed sucking their pacifier after their night feed. C suddenly sits up as if she realized something. She took out her pacifier with her right hand, used her left hand to take out A's pacifier and offer her to A. Both chuckled happily. Then A did vice versa and they did it again and again. Truly enjoyed themselves!

Gymboree Class with Daddy

Daddy wasn't able to join us last week. At last, he joined us this week. In order to let both of us enjoy singleton bonding time with Daddy + Mummy, mummy split the 2 of us into 2 different classes. Hence, Daddy and Mummy went thru the same activities 2 times in a day!

Mummy took up Gymboree's family annual membership and brought us to try out the playgym today. We enjoyed ourselves very much and was tired out after the play session.

Recently, I realized that Charlotte can very much play on her own while we do our own stuff. Just the other day, I left her in the living room on her own reading her favorite books. When i peep, she was reading to herself happily. Is this a sign that she's ready for school?

Aloysius insisted that he should feed himself when I was feeding him today. Maybe that's another sign?

Sporty Sunday

Everyone joined us for a swim on Sunday morning. 舅舅，舅母，Elton哥哥，Elzann姐姐，阿公 & 阿嫲. See how we enjoyed ourselves.

Enrichment Classes

Time flies, A&C are fast approaching 17 months. While most children their age had already attended numerous enrichment classes, we intentionally held back sending them to any. However, we decided lately that we should let them try out some enrichment classes. Hence, thieir first trial enrichment class with Baby Jumper Gym.

They both enjoyed the Flash Card & Music session. Girlgirl enjoyed the gym session more than Boyboy. Maybe because Boyboy was sleepy toward the end of the session.

FIrst Taste of Quaker Oats

Routine Check-up

We went for A&C routine check up today. A&C had their vaccines done. Each took 2 jabs.

Aloysius went first. Before the first injection,
Mummy: Aloysius, you are a brave little boy. It's going to be just like an ant's bite so don't cry ok.
Aloysius looks at me.
Nurse: Boy, here we go.
Tears well up in his eyes but he really didn't cry.
Mummy: Good boy. (Kiss on forehead) Now another BIG ant's going to bite.
Nurse: Mummy, hold him tight, this one he surely will cry.
After the 2nd injection, Aloysius pout but no crying just red teary eye. Mummy give another kids.
Once we walk out from the room, he cry out real hard.
All of us were amazed, he really understands...

Then came Charlotte. Mummy didn't have any chance to talk because she started crying before the injection was done. Nevertheless. well done my darlings!

After we are done with the injection, we went to visit our Angels but they are all so busy. So only gets to take photo with Liza Ka ka. See, Charlotte was so facsinated by her name tag because there were Pooh sticker on it.

Visiting Dentist for the 1st Time

Remember some time ago I blogged that Aloysius' tooth fairy came early. So today, we brought him to see the dentist. I had expected that it will be difficult to hold him down for the dentist to check him but surprisingly, he behave exceptionally good. Even the dentist complimented that she rarely have such well-behaved patient not to mention at such tender age.

Delicious Ice-Cream Cone

Since long long time ago (can't recall since when), Mummy had been reading this Barney book to us. In one of the pages, it reads "Baby Bop licks a cold ice-cream cone!" BUT what is ice-cream cone, mummy?

On this fine day, Mummy decides to re-inforce what she had already read to us. Ta-da! We get to taste the Ice-Cream Cone like Baby Bop.

Saturday Outing

Boring Saturday. Mummy was contemplating to bring the little twinstars to Gymboree for a playgym session but decided against it due to some last minute situation. Nevertheless, Mummy dressed us up to meet 阿公 & 阿嬷 for a sumptuous seafood dinner.

Celebrating Daddy's Birthday

Time flies. Our Twinstars are now 16 months. It seems like yesterday that we just found out that we were expecting them. :)

她每个星期天不辞劳苦的替我们上巴杀买鱼为的是让我们吃到最新鲜的鱼
她每次见到我们都会放下手上所有的事情来抱抱我们
她会因为我们的米糊吃完了而特地搭车把米糊送到我们家来
她会每天在电话的另一段不停的亲切慰问我们今天有没有乖乖
她就是我们亲爱的阿嬷！



他会在妈咪说不可以的时候笑笑地把一些我们没试过的食物让我们尝试
他会在妈咪放假的时候问阿嬷双胞胎为什么没有来
他会骄傲地告诉他不知情的朋友们我们们是一对龙凤胎
他会把我们放在他肩膀上逛街

Tooth fairy came early to Aloysius

Usually the kids start expecting the arrival of their tooth fairy at 5 or 6 years old. However, Aloysius' tooth fairy arrive earlier than usual. A situation which we rather it never occur.

What happened? The active boy fell and knock off 1 of his teeth. And in case you are imagining that he's badly hurt. Luckily or not, he escape totally unhurt except for the tooth that came loose and eventually drop off on it's own perfectly.

Readmission

Charlotte was re-admitted for further investigation. I was heartbroken seeing her "unconscious" as she need to be for the scan. Fortunately, she recovered promptly from her "beauty sleep"

1st Ride on MRT with Mummy

Brought Charlotte to her pre-admission check-up today. In order to try something new and since I rarely have the opportunity to have one-to-one time with her, I decided to be adventurous to try something new. So, off we go. Warp Charlotte in the good old sling and MRT train, here we come.

Thankfully, Charlotte behave well throughout the journey.




At the clinic, Charlotte was wary of Doctor probably due to the trauma she had to go thru during her last admission. Took us some efforts before she allow the doctor to check her.

She will be admitted tommorow for the scans and further investigations.

Do you love me, Mummy?

Recently borrowed a book from the library by the above title. This book touches me and set me thinking about mummy's love for their kids is indeed great. Some extracts that describe precisely how I felt after becoming a mum.

"I love you higher than the highest bird ever flies,
I love you taller than the tallest tree ever grow,
I love you more than anything in the whole wide world,
I love you more, so much more than you've ever known."

Aloysius & Charlotte, mummy love you more than anything in the universe!

Mummy is worried worried worried

Charlotte, mummy is worried about your scan and test next Thursday. I am praying hard everything will turn out fine.

Test test and more test

Charlotte is still in the hospital. Doctor had ordered test, test and more tests. And more than often, these tests made her cry in fear. (To me, she's crying more for fear than pain) Today she cried the most during the ultrasound which is painless with minimal discomfort. And since, I am with her throughout, she could even be protesting.

I have also notice that she had also perfected the skill of 'fake crying'. Every time, the nurse come to check on her, she started crying and stop the very moment the nurse walk away. See how good she is.



On the other hand, I miss Aloysius dearly. When I returned home, he's already sleeping in his cot. I could only get updates from Aunt Ednalyn. According to Aunt Ednalyn, he is definitely more lonely since his playmate is not with him. I have just went to his cot to touch him and kiss him goodnight. Didn't want to wake him up, hence no cuddling.

I wish that I could clone myself so that I could be there for both my darlings at the same time. Till then, I need to continuously perfect my skill of juggling.

At the hospital

I am writing this from the hospital bed. Charlotte had on off fever since Sunday morning. On Sunday night, it hits 40.3 degree celsius. We brought her down to the A&E & she was admitted. She cried a lot since she was admitted. To her, all nurses in uniform and doctor in their white coats = to pain + fear. Hence, every time they come by to check on her, she cried very loudly. This hurt me terribly as I don't think I ever seen her cry so terribly and often since her birth. She clung on me tightly as if I am her 'life float' and do not allow anyone to touch her. Not even her favorite Auntie Tessie initially.
While I am now in the hospital, I misses Aloysius tons. The least I want is for him to be neglected. I am relying on Aunt Ednalyn to take good care of him. I heard that he had woken up in the morning to find her sister not in her cot and he had a puzzled look as if he's wondering "Eh, meimei woke up earlier than me today?" because usually he's the one who will wake meimei up to play every morning.

Returning books to the library

Remember 2 weeks ago, we borrowed books from the library? Today we return the books and borrow a new batch of books. A collage of us having lunch at library cafeteria before returning books at the bookdrop. Mummy carried each of us, explained and showed us how to return the books. A pity we forgot to take pictures. After that we decided to take a dip but it was too sunny to go down to the pool. Hence, we make do in mummy's bathroom...

On our way to shopping again... Eating Ore0 Cookies for the 1st time. Yummy!
