Pre-birthday Celebration

Time flies. A&C are turning 3. Those who know will understand why the twin birthday meant so much to Cliff and myself after what we have went thru. (Don't all kids birthday held a special place in all parent's heart? Of cos they do!)

As it's the HFMD season and the school is having an outbreak, the school does not allow parents to go into the class. Hence, we decide not to hold the birthday party in the school.

Instead, we planned a fun filled day at Universal Studio Singapore. Before we start the day at USS, we brought A&C back to their previous childcare centre for a visit. They were excited to meet their ex-teachers. It means a lot to them because these teachers are their 1st teachers!

Parent Involvement

Parent's involvement is critical in the growing up years of our children. No matter how busy / caught up we are with work / life, we should always set aside time for our little ones.

Today, A&C's childcare had an event that invite parent to join their kids for reading and handicraft activities. As I was not able to apply leave, I rush to their school from work and as a result was slightly late. When i arrived at the twins' class, they were so excited when they saw me. They proudly announced to their friends "This is my Mummy" and were jumping up and down with joy.

As I watch them go about their activities, I can sense the disappointment and sadness of those kids whose parents are not present. Silently, I made a resolution. I will always ensure I will be there with them until the day come when they no longer wants me to be there.

Half a Day's work with Mummy

Work on a Saturday morning certainly brighten up with A's presence.

Jumperoo - I don't like

Thinking that BbA would love to jump and wanting him to start exercising at young tender age, I decided to get a jumperoo for him. But, for some reason, BbA cried within few minutes every time we seat him in. I hope he will grow to love his new toy soon.

Uncle 国耀's Wedding Dinner

I wanna swim too!

Being a kiasi mummy, i still do not allow BbA to swim in the swimming pool in fear of "you know lah". So he still enjoy his swim in his "private pool" complete with lukewarm water...

Being kiasu mum, I also don't want to miss A's 1st "float" action. So off we go floating again. To my pleasant surprise, A can now swim confidently with float of course!

2 1st in a day

Today =
1) BbA 1st Dip in the swimming pool (Feet only)
2) A 1st successful attempt in swimming (floating) without us holding him.

Too bad, in my excitement, I forgotten to take a video.

Sad Sad Day

Kids are emotional lots. They tend to act up whenever they are sleepy. Today just before bedtime, A had a meltdown.

After he calm down, while I was explaining things to the twins, C tried to reenact the happening.

Though frustrating at times, these could be precious moments years down the road.

Celebrating Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to All Mummies!

Today, we celebrated Mother's Day with 阿嬷、舅母 and of course Mummy.

The day begin with a sumptuous lunch at 万兴楼 @ Harbourfront Centre follow by our usual gathering at 阿嬷阿公 house.

Swimming Fun with Daddy

It's been a while since A & C last swam. Seeing that the weather is prefect, daddy suggested all to go for a swim while BbA suntan by the pool.

A & C was absolutely thrilled and enjoyed themselves.

HFMD, please stay away from A & C

Just sent A & C to their school and was told that there is 1 case of HFMD in their class. At that moment, I have a strong urge to keep them away from school but I cannot afford to due to work commitment. Argg... I am now filled with guilt. I just wish they are strong enough to keep HFMD at bay.

Stylo Mylo Way of sitting

Babies are really creative bunch of folks. Barely a week sitting in his bumbo seat, BbA had found a new way of sitting. Cool isn't it?

A is having slight fever and hence we kept him away from school. C is still cheery on the way to school and even humming song. Couldn't resist taking these photo.
