A & C have ample conversations between themselves. I happened to overhear one today.

A: I am papa bear.
C: Yes, you are papa bear. Didi is baby bear.
A: Then you are mama bear.
C: No.
A: Yes, you are.
C: No, I'm not. I'm Goldilock.
